The following schedule of capital estimates for 1938-39 was approved by the Wellington Hospital Board last night:— ■ Repayment of loans, £6014; sinking fund for debentures, £4071; repairs and additions'. Home (balance), say, £2500; electric clocks,- £20; replacing nurses' home "roof with iron (balance), say, £1000;. tennis courts, Ewart "arid,fever nursing staffs, £150; Deep.therapy department: ,1 ; new tube stand (approx.), £328; 1 "new deep ray plant (approx.), £1600; 1 Chaoul low' voltage,. £800; mangle, £4000; purchase EsO-Cower'Hutt property (hospital site), *9864; miscellaneous, £1000; total, £27,HffK,By. loan: Additions to nurses' home, " Tboiler-'house, acute block, £750,000;" grand total,, £777,147.
