PETONE AND LOWER HUTT GAS"" LIGHTING BOARD NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. , is hereby given that there will ry be submitted for confirmation at the Meeting of the Petone and Lower Hutt Cras Lighting Board, to be held on April 12, 1938, at the Offices 'of the Board, Municipal Buildings, Petone, at 7.30 p.m., a Special Order raising under the authority of Section 50 of the Local Legislation Act, 1937, the sum of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) to provide additional monies for the extension of its undertaking., The loan ia required for the extensioa and improvement of the Board's reticulation. The proposed security is a special annually recurring rate of sixteen one hundredths of one penny in the pound to b« made and levied upon all .rateable property (on the basis of the unimproved value)) within the Boroughs of Petone and Lower Hutt. The loan is to be repaid ■ out of Revenue. As the loan is by way of bank overdraft there will be no expenses of raising same, and the interest and sinking fund for the first year will be paid out of revenues. No poll isl required to be taken unless 5 per centum (5 per cent.) of the ratepayers of the above Boroughs demand same in writing, such demands to be delivered to the Board not later than the date of the meeting above referred to.
