STATE HOUSES
TO BE KEPT IN REPAIR (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Lee, in reply to an interviewer who asked if money was to be set aside out of rentals.
"Adequate reservation will be made, and the amount will vary according to the type of construction," said Mr. Lee. "In the past houses financed by the Government were allowed to deteriorate, not because of faulty construction but because tenants had not the funds adequately to maintain the dwellings after they had paid out all the necessary outgoings. State houses will be kept in repair.
