HITCH IN AMERICA

EXPORT OF HELIUM TO

GERMANY

WASHINGTON, March 22.

It is disclosed that despite the granting of a licence for the exportation of helium to the Zeppelin Company on February 8, a hitch occurred owing to inability to frame a contract definitely precluding the use of the gas for military purposes.

A German steamer brought containers for helium to Texas _ last September, but no shipments have'been made, or can be made, until a satisfactory agreement, including the question of price, is reached.
