MOSCOW, March 23.
The members of the Soviet scientific expedition which established a base on an Arctic icefloe, MM. Krenkel, Shirshov, and Federov, have been created Heroes of the Soviet Union. M. Papanin, who is already a Hero, was decorated with the Order of Lenin. All will receive prizes of £ 1000.
