EPIDEMIC EXPECTED
MEASLES IN VICTORIA

MELBOURNE, This Day.
Referring to the reported prevalence of measles in New Zealand, the chairman of the Health Commission, Dr. Featonby, said that a measles epidemic with many deaths was expected in Victoria.
Dr. Featonby said that Victoria's last measles epidemic, -when there were 200 deaths, was in 1920. There had been no case in Victoria for more than a year, and consequently thousands of children were not immune.
