BARCELONA RAIDS
REBEL VIEWPOINT
DUMPS IN CENTRE OF CITY
(Received March 24, 9 a.m.)
BARCELONA, March 23.
The death roll in last week's air raids was 92Q, and the wounded totalled J2.50.
A- Salamanca communique asserts that the sole purpose of the raids on Barcelona was the destruction of strictly military objectives. It complains of the notorious mendacity of the Press reports, and adds that Catalun Square and the Northern Railway Station were converted into ammunition dumps, at which the planes were forced to aim. It was regrettable that citizens bad suffered. The responsibility rested on 1 those who placed dumps in the middle of the- city.
