TRAFFIC OFFENDERS

Offenders against the city isylaws appeared before Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today.

For exceeding the speed limit Frederick William Edwards was fined 30s and costs; Neville Burrough £2 and costs; James Albert Cook £2 and costs; and Morar Nathu 30s and costs.

For breaches of the parking regulations Frederick William Cracknell and Alexander Fowler Roberts were fined 10s and costs; Francis Ernest Stubberfield was convicted and ordered to pay costs, and Albert John Beck was fined 30s and costs.

Cyril Edward Copp was fined £3 and costs for driving at a speed which might have been dangerous, and Bartholomew Duffell was fined £2 and costs for passing a tramcar on the wrong side.

Peter Barras was fined 10s and cos^s for driving incorrectly in a one-way street, and a similar amount for failing to obtain a warrant of fitness.

Morar Nathu was fined £1 and costs for overtaking on an intersection.

Elsie Mary Haines was convicted and discharged for failing to obtain a certificate of registration and current annual licence, and Cyril Thurston was convicted and ordered to pay costs for proceeding against a signal.
