SCOTS BOYS V. FATHERS
In a cricket match played at Scots College yesterday a team of fathers beat the first eleven by 24 runs on the first innings. Fathers, batting first, made 147 for seven wickets, declared, and Scots replied with 123.

HUTT VALLEY ASSOCIATION
The protest of Todd Motors against Empire for refusing.. to ■ bat a second time in their match three weeks ago was upheld at the fortnightly meeting of the Hutt Valley Cricket Association. As a result Todd's average in the special A grade competition, decided on the average of runs scored per wicket, is now higher than that of Trafalgar Park, who were the leaders when the competition concluded last Saturday, and Todds take the championship. The committee felt that Empire had broken the rules by refusing to bat again when there was time, though the captain was under the impression his side did not have to do so in the special competition...
