Charged with obtaining £3 10s in money by means of a certain false pre-> tence with intent to "defraud, John Colston, a labourer, aged 28, appeared before Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. Detec-tive-Sergeant P. Doyle, prosecuting, asked for a remand until next Wednesday. The accused, he said, was arrested last night, and there were other charges into which the police were inquiring.
