PETONE AMATEUR CLUB
Under perfect weather conditions and before a large gathering of spectators the 'Petone Amateur Athletic Club held a very successful meeting recently. Features of the meeting were the greatly improved lighting and the promptness with which the large programme of events was dispatched. T. Roe carried off the cycling honours by winning the half-mile, onemile, and three-mile events in consistently good times. . E. Phillips, of Hawke's Bay, runnerup in three New Zealand championship field events, gave a fine displayin -jumping Sft 11 £in. Results are as follows:— Half-mile ■ Cycle, A Grade.—T.
