SUDETEN GERMANS
SIGNS OF RESTLESSNESS MANY MEETINGS HELD PRAGUE, March 22. There have been numerous meetings of Sudeten Germans at which outspoken speeches were made eulogising Germany as a guarantee for the attainment of autonomy, and other indications of restlessness.
The German social democrats, although supporting the Government, demanded special relief for the distressed Sudeten areas and further guarantees for the school and labour questions.
The German Catholics appointed a committee to negotiate with the Government, claiming legal regulation of Czech and German relations.
The newspaper "Ceske Slovo" declares that the Sudeten Germans are blackmailing the frontier, districts, threatening the population with a "day of judgment" unless they join the Henlein Party.
