LIVE BEEF IMPORTS
During the next three or four months store cattle sent to Great Britain from Canada to be fattened on British pastures and in the bullock yards will arrive each week in large numbers. Between 400 and 500 will be landed at Birkenhead eyery week and other consignments will be discharged at Glasgow and Cardiff. The demand for Canadian cattle in the United States, which normally absorbs most of the export surplus, has slackened. The first consignments from Canada to reach British markets, whether light, medium, or heavyweights, sold readily. The animals were of good beef type.
