TABLE TENNIS

The nine teams entered and maintained by the Empire Club in the Hutt Valley Tattle Tennis Association's inter-club- competitions all performed creditably, states the annual report of the club, and the A No. 1 team and the D No. 1 team won their championships with unbeaten records. Congratulations are extended to Miss B. Strang, A. R.Harding, and F. A. Jones, who . gained various representative honours. Miss B. Strang, by retaining the Wellington women's singles title, was responsible for the most outstanding performance. The success of the social activities is referred to and the financial position is regarded as satisfactory. The annual meeting of the club will be held on Monday.
