CORONATION FILMS

There was a full, attendance of. members at the monthly tattoo of the Wellington Tin Hat Club held in the club's rooms last night. Proceedings opened with the playing of the National Anthem, after which the chairman for the evening' (Colonel Cowles) was elected. The orchestra, under Mr. P. Cole, gave severalmusi: cal items and the "Ode" of the club was sung, this being followed by the: introduction of Dr. Alari Teririent, who received a warm welcome. Dr. Tennent said he thought that' the Coronation films which were to be showri" would be of special interest, as the audience, no doubt, knew many mem.bers of the contingent. ' Opening with scenes of Wellington and the various ports en route to Eng--land,-.the films proved of ,absorbing, interest.- Many well-known parts -ofLondon were shown, and these were, followed by "shots" of the contingenttaking part in 'military ceremonies,"1, notably the Changing of the Guard.' Some magnificent colour; films of the Coronation' procession and ceremony were' shown, the colourful .uniforms/ and robes of the participants present-1 ing a splendid spectacle. Interesting" studies of New York, the Grand"' Canyon,- and the Rocky Mountains^ were also shown.
