Tha works by Major Douglas were masterpieces of confused theory and studied ambiguity/with every concrete . problem dodged. The adoption of the Douglas Social Credit system would mean only sky-rocket inflation and disaster. Mr. John Bla'ckmore, in sponsoring the motion, declared that the bankers should be ordered to abolish poverty, and if they failed should be replaced by experts. , Questioned by members on the Government benches, he stated that he could not disclose the identity of the experts he suggested.

Pressed by Mr. Dunning to state just how Social Credit would work, Mr. Blackmore asserted that an explanation would involve too many technicalities.

When urged to state how much currency would be issued, he replied that that had not been decided.
