POULTRY MARKET.
Prices of live poultry in the Wellington market this week are quoted by Townsend and Paul, Ltd., as follows:—
Fowls.—White Leghorns: Hens, Is 9d to 2s 9d each; cockerels, Is 9d to 2s 9d; pullets, 3s to ss. Black Orpingtons: Hens, heavy, 3s 6d to 4s 6d each; medium, 2s to 3s 6d; cockerels, heavy, 3s to 4s; medium, 2s to 3s. Rhode Island Reds: Cockerels, heavy, 3s to 4s each; hens, 4s to 4s 6d.
Ducks. —Indian Runner: Young, Is 9d to 3s each; old, Is 9d to 2s 9d. White: Young, 3s to 4s; heavy, 3s to 4s. Geese. —3s to 4s 6d each. Turkeys.—ls to Is Id a lb.
