SOLTOI WITHDRAWN

(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) MELBOURNE, February 25. Solt'oi was scratched for the Newmarket Handicap at 2.40 today. He is suffering from soreness.

L.-J. Ellis has done much successful riding for the Hon. G. R. Hunter and the Hon. P. C. Webb, and it was therefore appropriate that he should be the first jockey to score on ShangriLa. It is not often that L. J. Ellis fails to extricate a mount from trouble, but on Catalogue in the Wanganui Cup he was in all the bother imaginable from start to finish. Catalogue, a hard puller at times, needs understanding.
