Dunedin. —The weather was ideal when the Otago Cricket Association's grade competitions were continued on Saturday and wickets and outfields were again exceptionally fast. The day's play concluded the first round of the first grade championship and it left Old Boys with a lead of eight points from University, with Grange one point away in third place, and Albion, which have made a good recovery in recent games, five points further back. Albion 209 and 121 for three I wickets (Millar 52) beat Kaikorai 115 and 211 (Holden 136; Sinclair four for. 58). Grange 351 for eight wickets, declared (Chetlleburgh 118, Knight 78. Elmes 63.
