RELIGIOUS SERVICES. LECTURE ON BIBLE TRUTH. (God Willing.) T 0.0. F. HALL. ALLEN STREET •*■• (Opp. Paramount, Courtenay Place). SUNDAY, at 7 p.m. SUBJECT: "ETERNAL LIFE IN THE WORLD TO COME" "... SHALL RECEIVE ... IN THE WORLD TO COME ETERNAL LIFE." (Jesus-Mark 10.30.) The object of this lecture is to show (1) THAT the Holy Scriptures emphatically teach that "the present evil world" is to pass away—this, however, will not involve the destruction of the literal earth but the abolition at the return of Jesus Christ to earth of every existing system of human authority, Political and Ecclesiastical, in order that the KINGDOM OF GOD may be set up on earth. (1 John 2:17, 2 Cor. 4:18, 1 Cor. 7:31, 2 Pet. 3.6-13, Ecc. 1:4, Isa. 45:18, 2 Tim. 4:1, Rev. 11:15, Dan. 2:44, Hag. 2:22, Hebs. 12:26-28, Matt. 6:10, etc.) (2) HENCE the significance of the references in the Scriptures to "THE WORLD TO COME"—the world as it will be in the coming Millennial age when in possession of and under the complete control of Jesus Christ who as universal King will "reign and prosper and execute judgment and justice in the earth." (Mark 10:30, Luke 18:30. Matt. 12:32, Eph. 1:21, Hebs. 2:5, Hebs. 0:5, Hebs. 1:2, Psa. 2:6-9, Zach. 0:10, Acts 17:31, Rev. 19:15, Acts. 3:19-21, Matt. 19:28, Jer. 23:5, Psa. 67:4, Psa. 72, Isa. 2, Isa. 11, Isa. 65:17, etc.) (3) THAT Christ's promise to those who believe in Him by believing His teaching and obeying His commands is "eternal life in the world to come"— hence the Scriptures clearly teach that those accounted worthy of immortality at the resurrection of the dead at Christ's return inherit the Kingdom of God and reign with Christ on the earth. (John 3:16. John 10:27-28, Luke 6:46-49. Mark 16:15-16, Mark 10:29-30, Luke 20:35-36. Rev. 20:6, Rev. 2:26-27, Rev. 9:9-10, I Cor. 6:2, Matt. 25:34, Dan. 7:13, 22, 27, etc.) Questions Invited.
