Ameri- ; can women, lovers of luxury, are already revelling In the fairylands that have been made of their bathrooms, glass bricks, white or coloured, covering walls, floor, and ceiling, The idea has its practical side, for Americans, though luxurious, are good housewives, and the entire apartment can quickly and easily be cleaned. . The typical American bathroom is centrally heated, steam absorbing, and fitted with cleverly concealed lighting. Water can be drawn off hot, warm,,cold, or iced. The last is for drinking purposes, because the heating dries the air. and an icecold drink is considered necessary to . complete the luxurious ablutions.
