LADY WHISKARD ARRIVES
"This is typical English weather; I like it very much," remarked Lady Whiskard, wife of Sir Geoffrey Whiskard, High Commissioner for the United Kingdom in Australia, who arrived by the Awatea yesterday afternoon from Sydney. At the time Lady Whiskard
made the remark the Awatea had just berthed, nearly seven hours late, from Sydney, having been delayed by heavy weather, and the afternoon was wet and cold.
Lady Whiskard will leave Wellington on Saturday by the Mataroa for England. Her husband is to leave Australia later for England on furlough after two years' service in Australia. Lady Whiskard has two sons in England, and her daughter is to travel with her husband. Lady Whiskard left Wellington last evening to visit relatives in Christchurch.
