TRAFFIC OFFENCES

Offenders against the traffic regulations were dealt with by Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. . For driving without due care and attention, Albert Stanley Mitchell and Henry Forrest Marsh were each fined 10s and costs. Giacomo Barnao was fined £1 4s and costs, Henry John Dreyfeldt and William Riordan £1 and cost's, and Frederick Jenkins £2 and costs for similar offences. For failing to carry a warrant of fitness, Jack Carr, William Riordan, and Maxwell John Stevenson were fined 10s and costs. Rhoda Hursthouse was fined 10s and costs for proceeding against a traffic light, and Harold Archibald was fined £1 and costs for .failing' to stop in half the visible distance ahead. William John Bennett and Robert 'George Deedman were fined 10s and costs for driving without a licence. Eric Doull was fined 10s and costs for being an unauthorised driver of a taxi. Moyra Noeline Biss was fined 10s and costs for failing to give way to traffic on the right. For having a vehicle dangerously loaded, Walter Henry Chamberlain was fined £1 and costs. Hector James Cornwall and Harold Stanislaus Donoghue were fined £lj and costs for failing to keep to the^ left. ■ ■ ' Charles John Coveney was fined 10s and costs for ostructing traffic, and George Ballington Whincop was fined a similar amount for parking in a prohibited place. ' Herbert Mark Cox was fined £1 and costs for driving in- a manner which might have been dangerous. George Francis Dudley was fined 10s and costs and Leslie Everson was fined £2 and costs for similar offences. Clifford Walter Hislop was fined £1 and costs for failing to signal. For having inefficient brakes, William Joseph Mclvoy was fined £1 and costs. John Sydney Riddiford was fined £2 and opsts for exceeding the speed limit. John Charles Ross was fined £1 and costs for cutting a corner.
