Four hundred delegates, representing seventy trade uniQns, sixftMiwo branches of the Australian Labour party, and more than 150,000 -New South Wales unionists, at a' conference, in the Trades IJall, at the weekend^ in an effort t© overthrow what was termed the "inner grqup," dp,mir na.ted by tb,e Leader pi X\ie. Opppsiyon (My. J, T- Lapg), passed a motion repudiating the "inner group," declaring, wax o.n it, and calling on the executive of the Australian Labour Party to. recognise the new movement as the only official New South Wa,les branch representing q^ganiged Labour. The conference also decided, to set up a central Labour organising committee of thirty to carry "out plans for the reconstituted party to regain control of the party machine. ,
