"' Tliough there is a tendency for very heavy" race traffic to slow up travel, there does not appear to have been any actual "hold-up, of motorists returning., from Trentham on Saturday between Lower Hutt and the city, Between Trentham and Taita Gorge, however, there was a distinct crawl, with occasional stops- Thiswas occasioned by the parking of cars in every side Street near the racecourse, and as these side-road parkers tried to join ; the main road, congestion and delays resulted, -and several motorists have complained, The: situation at Tren> iram, when thousands of cars which arrive at different times all endeavour to leave at once, ig, always exasperating, but Saturday's big attendance of motoristg, with the side street flows impeding main road traffic, was unusually annoying. ■■-:■", 'I
