A BLOW FOR THE JEWS

An interesting series of stamps is being issued in Vienna by the Harand Movement Against Racial Hatred, an "Aryan" philosemitic movement (says the "Daily Telegraph"). The stamps are a protest against the "Ewige Jude" —"The Eternal Jew"—exhibition being held in Munich by .Herr Julius Streicher. There will be fifty different stamps issued at 2|d for affixing to letter paper or envelopes, the proceeds being devoted to the relief of distressed Jewish emigres. Each stamp in the series will have the portrait of an eminent Jew whose work has been of special service to mankind, and will be printed in English, French, and German. The first, which has appeared, depicts Professor Ehrlich, the inventor of Salvarsan. The next will bear the portrait of Albert Ballin. the Kaiser's friend and head of the Ham-burg-America Line. The third stamp will be inscribed "Siegfried Marcus, Austrian Jew, inventor of the petroldriven motor-car which started out from Vienna to conquer the wfaolt world."
