LABOUR SENSATION
MR. LANG AGAIN
FINANCES OF "LABOR DAILY"
MAY QUIT MOVEMENT
(United Press Association—By Electrlo Toleeraph—Copyright.)
SYDNEY, January 21.
A sensational development-in official Labour circles tonight was the announcement that Mr. J. T. Lang, Leader of the State Opposition, had given notice to the board of directors of the "Labor Daily", newspaper, of his intention to call up the principal second debenture of £13,764, together with interest, £3400. In the event of default he intended to appoint a receiver as manager of the newspaper. It is expected that Mr. Lang will in due course quit the Labour movement and that the "Labor Daily" will fall into the hands of an industrial section composed largely of miners, who for years have contributed largely to the support of the paper.
