HERE AND THERE
"Gift Evening:." \ , The Misses Sharp and Lloyd, of Otnki, were recently entertained by their friends at. a "gift evening,", as both will be married in the near future. They received some exceedingly nice and useful. presents, and, as well as their mothers, were handed charming bouquets of flowers. Dancing was the order of the evening, which was a very pleasant and successful one.
A plain-coloured dress can be given two or three different appearances by means of different belts. An attractive colour scheme can be achieved by tying a girdle of coloured tasselled silk about the waist-of a black dress suitable. for day wear. A bunch of long thin grosgrain ribbons in varied colours also make a delightful girdle.
