STEAMER TEES

NOT PAYING HER WAY

TO SAIL TONIGHT

(By Telegraph—Press Association)

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.

After a delay of three days the steamer Tees will sail for the Chatham Islands tonight. A representative of the owners said today that the company was negotiating for the sale of the vessel as she was not paying her way working the open roadstead ports at the Chathams. This entailed heavy overtime, and five or six members of the crew drew, with overtime, higher wages than the master. Until the deal was completed the Tees would maintain the island service.
