"You can put an Empire label oil New Zealand lamb, but you must not put a New Zealand label on Empire lamb," said Mr. H. H. J. Ricketts, in defending the Royal Arsenal Co-opera-tive Society, which was fined 20s at. Wimbledon for exposing for sale imported meat with a false description.
Mr. Ricketts said ther/e was no question of fraud. An inexperienced additional shopman during the Christmas rush put a New Zealand label on Empire lamb because no Empire label' were available.
