CRICKET
WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION
It 'was reported at a meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Cricket Association last evening that the women's cricket match, Wellington, versus New,; Zealand, to be played at the Basin Reserve tomorrow, will conclude at 5.30 p.m. to enable practices of the Wellington Association teams to be continued.
It was decided to write to the University Club asking for an explanation of the default of one of their teams in a recent club match. ,
Arrangements are to be made to send a Wellington second eleven.on*a short northern tour —probably to play Rangitikei and Hawke's Bay—at the time when the Plunket Shield match between Wellington and Auckland is being played at Wellington.
It was decided to resume representative practices this evening.
FIXTURES.
Senior. fixtures in the Wellington Association's competitions for next Saturday will be as follows:—
Kilbirnie v. University, Kilbirnie No. 1, Messrs. Watts and Reynolds; Midland v. Old Boys, Basin Reserve No. 1, Messrs. Moore and Dalton; Institute v Wellington, Basin Reserve \ No. 2 Messrs. Pengelly and Taylor; Karori v. Hutt, Hutt,. Messrs. Aitken and Aldersley.
