CHINESE DISCIPLINE

THREE GENERALS SHOT

HANKOW, January 15.

General Han Fu-chu, who was arrested on General Chiang Kai-shek's orders because of the loss of Tsining, was court-martialled and found guilty of dereliction of duty. He and Generals Li Tuo-chan and Wan Fu-lin, who were both subordinates of Marshal Chang Sueh-liang, were all shot by firing squads.

The two last-named were shot on General Chiang Kai-shek's orders, Wan Fu-lin for the loss of Patingfu and Li Tuo-chan for the fall of Soochow. Each case was attributed to mutiny and lack of discipline among the Chinese troops.
