Results at the Canterbury Park Racing Club's Summer Meeting included:— NURSERY HANDICAP, £150; for two-year-olds; 5 furlongs. Second Division. W. J. Smith's br f Belle Modele, by Beau Pere—Baylock, 7.6 (W. Cook) -; 1 Some Vixen, 8.10 (O'Sullivan) ... 2 Sir Dignus, 7.4 (Harvey) 3 Ten started. Head; two lengths. Time, lmin 3sec. Shipley ran third to Royal Ensign and Bofleld in the first division of the same race. Egmont ran fourth to Panaster, Peg s Pet, and Alan Verde in the Canterbury Handicap. Her Excellency was unplaced in the third division of the Maiden Welter. Sturdee was unplaced in the Flying Welter. In the first division of the Maiden Welter, Venturesome was killed outright, and Achray broke a foreleg and had to be destroyed. A third horse fell, but was uninjured in a sensational smash.
