QUALIFIED REPLY

FRENCH INDUSTRIAL TALKS

PROPOSED

LONDON, January 11

The Paris corespondent of "The Times". says, that the reply of M. Gignoux, president of the Employers' Federation, to the Prime Minister's invitation for representatives of big and small employers, technicians, and the workmen's confederation to meet at his office on January 12 in an effort to promote industrial peace, is acceptance so heavily qualified as to threaten the success of the proposal. M. Gignoux demands a wide extension of the elements represented at the proposed conference.
