(Received January 12, 1.20 p.m.)
LONDON, January 11
The Tokio correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" reports that the Emperor in conference approved of the unshakable policy to overthrow General Chiang- Kai-shek unless he sues for peace on Japan's terms.
It is clear that Japan is determined to wage war until China is powerless and Japanese supremacy is unchallenged, and prolonged warfare is regarded as inevitable. Mr. Toshio Shiratori, formerly Japanese Minister to Sweden, who is possibly the' next Foreign Minister, outlined the vast scale of Japan's aims and asserted that China should not .have an ai/my, as Japan would protect her from foreign
aggression.
