, In connection with criticisms of the Air Ministry, it is .reliably .staited that the first-line strength iof the Royal Air .Force,has been doubled since the expansion programme began in the middle of 1935. TJtere are now iive .post-war itypes of bombers, being turned out, and the Hawker Hurricane fighter, capable of a speed of over .300 miles an haw, is being produced in large numbers. Deliveries will also "be made shortly of a new and even faster fighter.
