Aptjjicants, who should be between the ages or 18 and 25 years, educated up to the standard of the University Entrance or School Certificate examinations, and physically fit, must be willing to devote nine to twelve months to continuous flying training and to enrol for service in the Reserve for a subsequent period of five years. Reserve eerviee will not exceed three weeks per annum. The scheme offers facilities for young men to learn to fly and either return to their normal civil occupations or, where opportunity offers, to enter civil aviation.
