WELL-ATTENDED FUNERAL

I There was a very large attendance of fellow-officers at the funeral of Mr. Stanley Davis this afternoon. The entire staff of the advertising branch was present, and also heads of other Departments. The Rev. F. N. E. Robertshawe, of. St. Mark's Church, conducted services at the mortuary chapel of Messrs. E. Morris, jun., and at the graveside at Taita Cemetery.

The pall-bearers were Messrs. M. A. Poulton, J. Holmwood, A. E. Lawn, A. D. McKenzie, members of the studio staff, ■ and R. C. Andrews and H. A. Cragg, representing the Railway Advertising Department office.

Among those present were Messrs. H. Valentine (Assistant General Manager of Railways), A. Urquhart (staff superintendent), R. Gillies (acting chief accountant), G. L. Anderson (assistant staff superintendent), S. S. Millington (comptroller of stores), R. C. Matthews (manager of the Railway Advertising Department), G. G. Stewart (manager of the Publicity Department), Pat Lawlor, L. S. Fanning, C. H. Newfield (Auckland), A. T. Russell, E. J. Barrett, H. A. Steers, T. Farrell, E. Waldie, S. H. Jenkinson (designing engineer), J. B. Lavin, and L. Hinge (Railway Publicity Department photographer).
