BRITISH BOWLERS BEATEN

AUCKLAND, January 4. The British bowling party, which arrived in Auckland from Rotorua on Saturday, had its first experience on the local greens today when a fourrink contest was played on the Auckland Club's green. Victory went to the local players, who held an elevenpoint advantage in the aggregate scores. The visitors won one game out of the four played.
