The Southland Racing Club's Summer Meeting concluded in a strong wind with heavy rain for the last two races. There was a large attendance. The track was in good order. (The tolalisator for the day handled £17,170 10s, against £19,236 last year, the total for the meeting being £39,333, against £37,858 last year, an increase of £1475. :
