DOCTOR'S DEATH

COLLAPSE AT GOLF

CHRISTCHURCH, December 19.

The death occurred suddenly, this afternoon of Dr. David Nathan Eppstein, aged 33, surgeon. He was playing at the Templeton . Country . Club's golf ■• course when he complained of feeling unwell. He was taken immediately to his home, but collapsed and died on the journey.

Dr. Eppstein was born at Wellington and was educated at the Auckland [Grammar School.and the Otago Medical School. He studied medicine and surgery in London, where.he was resident surgeon in various London hospitals,, and attended the London University. He was a fellow of the Royal ■College of Surgeons and of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons., He leaves a wife and one child.
