LONDON, December 18. Friday's closing prices for the following raw materials were as follows, those for December 10 being shown in parentheses:— . ■ Cotton.—Liverpool quotation, . good American middling, spot, 4.81 d' a lb (4.70 d); January delivery, 4.68 d a lb (4.56 d).
Rubber.—Para, 7}d a lb (7id); plantation smoked ribbed sheet, 7Jd a lb (7Jd). Jute. —January-February shipment, Indian jute, Dundee quotation, £19 5s a ton (£l9 12s 6d). ~'■■■
Copra.—January-February shipment, sun-dried South Sea, to London or Rotterdam, £13 2s 6d a ton (£13); smoked to Marseilles or Genoe, not quoted (£l2 17s 6d); plantation Rabaul, to London or Rotterdam, £14 a ton (£l3 17s 6d).
Linseed Oil.—£3o 10s a ton (£29 15s).
Turpentine.—3ls 3d a cwt (31s)
The Reserve «ank of New Zealand will be closed for a special holiday on Decemer 28.
