OBITUARY

MES. C. A. KNOWLES

The death occurred in London on November 19 of Mrs. Knowles, wife of Mr. C. A. Knowles, C.8.E., private secretary to the High Commissioner, stated "The Post's" representative, writing on November 20. Mrs. Knowles was formerly a member of the staff at New Zealand House, and the news of her death was received with great regret. She had been suffering from a lengthy illness, necessitating special treatment. Mr. Knowles has been private secretary to High Commissioners since the days of the late Sir Thomas Mackenzie. He has two daughters, aged 13 and 9.
