RACING TAXES
NEW SOUTH WALES BILL
POSSIBLE REVENUE LOSS

SYDNEY, This Day,
The Premier (Mr. B. S. B. Stevens), in introducing the Racing and Gaming Bill in the Assembly, said that it involved a nominal loss of £80,000 a year in reduced racing taxation. An improvement in horse-racing attendances was expected, however, and the greyhound racing tax should yield £25,000 a /ear.
The provisions of the Bill include reduced course admission charges and a reduction of the taxation on boolf makers.
