MINISTER PLEASED
"I am very, pleased to hear that the dispute has been settled," stated the Minister of Labour (the Hon. H. T. Armstrong) this morning on- receipt of the information that the strike was ended. He added that it had been left to Mr. Roberts to confer with the parties, and his advice was that work was expected to be resumed at 1 p.m. today. "I was thinking very seriously of going to Auckland myself," said the Minister, "but I got in touch with Mr. Roberts and he agreed to go up, and I left it to him."
