HAMILTON, This Day.

A verdict for the full amount claimed, £2503 4s 7d, against both defendants, was returned by a jury in favour of the plaintiff in a case completed before Mr. Justice Callan in the Supreme Court at Hamilton. The case was one in which Charles Scivier Goodwill, garage proprietor, Te Puke, sought damages from Kathleen Saulbrey, Ngaruaw.ahia, and Edwin James Parry, farmer, as the outcome of an accident on the Main South Road, Horotiu, on January -27. .:,.

Parry's and 'Mrs. Saulbrey's cars and a collision between Parry's car aJid the car in' which: the plaintiff was riding. The plaintiff received severe injuries and alleged negligence on the part of both Mrs, ■ Satilbrey and Parry.

For the defence allegations of negligence were denied, and as an alternative contributory negligence on the part of the driver of the plaintiff'i car was alleged.

When the jury returned with .its verdict a new ."trial was ""asked-"for, Judgment was deferred pending th.B hearing of legal argument.
