SUCCESS OF SUPERTAX

Hutt Park trainer T. C. Leadbetter derives a lot of pleasure from the continued success of the pacer Supertax, whom he put through his early racing and with whom he won several races. Supertax was registered when h3 was two years old, and was bred by Mr. J. J. Bramwell, of Lower Hutt who leased him to Mr. P Walters, of Taita, in whose colours he did his is by the American trotter Maxegin, who was imported by the, West Australian Trotting Association,' and later came to New Zealand. He won several races and showed that he had all the attributes of a good peis 1935, Mr. D. Rpdgers secured a lease of Supertax, and for that sportsman he. has won high honours. Supertax has now competed in 78 races for 15 wins, 13 seconds, and nine thirds, and has won £2654 in season was 1935-36, during which he contested 32 races for seven wins, seven seconds, four thirds, and £1306 in prizes. During the next year a throat affliction developed, and an operation was performed by Mr. H. t. Martin. Since then the horse has raced with conspicuous success over shori distances.
