CHRISTMAS PARTY: HELD
There was a large attendance of members and friends at the final meeting for the year of-the Y.W.C:A. Junior Women's Quo... The -proceedings, took the form of a .Christmas 'party and the clubroorris were beautifullyMecorated for the occasion. ■ ■.<"' ''■" •.;■■'■-
Items of much interest were the short talks given ■■: by-two club; members. Mrs. R. '• Martin's .subjectf was' ."An -English Christmas" and Mrs. Stevens spoke on /"Christmas in India.", Mrs. James j Russell:;sang two song's, accompanied by Mrs. Mac Donald,"which were much Appreciated by the. audience. Several club members, sang Christmas carols, with Mrs. Janisch at the piano, and an amusing limerick introducing "Santa Claus" provided the humour for the lafprnobn.
■An enjoyable afternoon tea of Ctaistmas delicacies was served and tb» cake, donated by Mrs; C. Steven3cn, cut.
A vote of thanks was accorded to the club president, Mrs. L. Tennet.
