NURSING DIVISION

JUBILEE CELEBRATION

The cadet and senior members of the Wellington South nursing division met recently. Teams from the cadet division competed for the "Preston" Cup, the winning team being Cadets Pearl 'tfelsh, Iris Huston, Molly Fernie, and Irene Evans (leader). The competition was judged by Mrs. Betts, and the cup presented by Mrs. Preston, donor. Mrs. Betts commented upon the high standard of work done by the cadets.

Mrs. Preston presided over the meeting of the senior division. Mrs. Betts gave a 'Ik on the St. John Ambulance Brigade Jubilee Celebrations held in London in May last. Mrs. Betts referred to the competitions which were.hell in the Great Central Hotel and gave notes on the work of the various teams, which proved most interesting. She also spoke about the air raid precautions courses which consisted of ten lectures, and demonstrated the Air Lock, mentioning that Ambulance Sisters Paul and Cleaver
