R.N.Z.A. MESS DANCE

The Royal New Zealand ■ Artillery Mess held its annual dance in the Barracks at Fort Dorset last night. There was a large attendance. The gold badge of the R.N.Z.A. em- ■ blazoned the entrance foyer, and was the focal point for decorations in the dance room. The national colours which were draped in front of the orchestra, were centred by the badge, which was again repeated in the archwas over the flag-draped entrance to the supper-room. The long tables, covered with crisp white cloths, were criss-crossed with streamers, and centred with highly-polished brass shell cases containing red carnations and manuka. The dance-floor was excellent, and the music o£ the orchestra was a special incentive- to dancing. The committee in charge of decorations and arrangements comprised Gunners L. V. Hankey, E. J. O'Brian, and H. Foster.
